Samenvatting
Gebaseerd op de gelijknamige roman van Jin Yong. Nadat de Dashing King de hoofdstad had ingenomen, gaven alle generaals van de Ming-dynastie zich over en gaven hun rijkdom als eerbetoon om hun eigen leven te redden. Binnen een paar dagen stapelden goud en zilver zich op als een berg. Nadat de Dashing King zich had teruggetrokken uit de hoofdstad, stuurde hij zijn vertrouwde ondergeschikten om de schat ergens achter de Grote Muur te verbergen, met de bedoeling deze te gebruiken als een militair fonds om zijn comeback te maken. In het 45e regeringsjaar van keizer Qianlong (1780) begonnen drie groepen mensen te vechten om een schatkist ergens in het Changbai-gebergte. De inhoud van de doos onthulde niet alleen de locatie van de schatkamer van de Dashing King. Het onthulde ook het verleden met betrekking tot de vier persoonlijke bewakers van de Dashing King, evenals de complotten en grieven van verschillende generaties. Opmerking: De stormende koning (Li Zicheng) was de Chinese rebellenleider die de Ming-dynastie van China in 1644 omver wierp. Hij werd later gedwongen de hoofdstad te verlaten toen de Manchu Banner-legers binnenvielen. The Dashing King zelf verscheen in latere hoofdstukken van Jin Yong's The Deer & The Cauldron (鹿鼎记).
